This is a crowd-pleaser in the Super Tuscan style, offering ripe currant and cassis fruit with hints of blackberry and subtle blue fruit aromatics. Firm, taut, mineral-laced tannins frame the palate, accented by earthy and tobacco spice notes and wet stone minerality on the lengthy finish. A fine medium-bodied wine that builds to full-bodied intensity as it finishes. Winemaker Jason Englert oversees an 80,000 case production across all Heath Family Brands (Grape Creek Vineyards, Heath Sparkling Wines, Jenblossom Cellars and Invention Vineyards).

A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Malbec, and 8% Merlot, the 2022 William Chris Vineyards Enchanté is sourced from Upflit Vineyard on granitic bedrock, as well as Blackmon Ranch and Fovel Family Vineyard, where vines are rooted in Hickory sands. All three sites are located in the Llano Uplift formation within the Texas Hill Country AVA. Fermented in large upright oak fermenters and aged for 17 months in 25% new French oak, the use of French oak layers in tighter, more firm, and structured tannins that are fine-grained and well-integrated. The wine showcases a host of crunchy red and black-toned fruit character, graphite notes, and dried herbs, creating a dynamic and captivating profile. This is a dynamite wine from the Texas Hill Country, offering immediate appeal with the structure and aging potential to evolve beautifully over time.

The flagship Bordeaux blend for Ferrari-Carano is sourced primarily from Lookout Vineyard, which spans both Knights Valley and Alexander Valley, along with other estate sites. The wine is fermented in stainless steel, undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel, and is aged 20 months in 50% new French oak. The nose has a wonderfully cool character—blue fruit, forest berries, and cocoa nibs. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with ultra-fine tannins and plenty of mid-palate concentration, offering blackberry fruit laced with cola spices and a hint of toffee on the lengthy finish. Quite refined and polished in 2023.
